GTA 6: The Album — Release Date, Tracklist And Every Confirmed Artist So Far

In the latest episode of physical vs digital media, Grand Theft Auto VI will not be sold on a disc, but its soundtrack will. Rockstar Games and Atlantic Records announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album yesterday, September 17, with the record announced for release on November 19, the same day as the game. Sure, there’s a lovely irony here: a franchise revolving around satirising vapidness has decided its game does not need a physical release, but is more than happy to ship vinyl and CD copies of the music that plays inside it. But hey, the other guy crusading against it is literally Cyberleek, and I’m not getting started on their sketchiness.

Anyway, here’s everything we know about the album so far.

When It Drops And Prices In India

Pre-orders are already live on the album's official site, with three physical options on the table: a CD at $19.98 (₹1,913.72 at the time of writing this article), a standard vinyl at $49.98 (₹4,787.18), and a limited edition vinyl at $124.98 (₹11,970.82), which has two transparent magenta discs filled with blue liquid and packaged with exclusive artwork. Streaming pre-saves are currently open on every major platform.

Physical orders are scheduled to start shipping on November 20, so expect it to take some time to arrive at your doorstep, even if you get the game right away. Retailers including Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Target, Barnes & Noble, and Urban Outfitters are also carrying exclusive vinyl colourways with their own artwork, on top of what's available through the official store.

The Six Songs You Can Hear Right Now

Lately, many of the artists featured on the album have been posting teasers of the songs on their social media handles (tell me you didn’t miss Travis Scott, Future and Metro Boomin’s teasers. If you did, this is a good time to go check them out).

Rockstar has confirmed 34 original tracks in total, and six are out on streaming services. The first song on the list is Yung Lean’s That's It, featuring Future and Metro Boomin. Travis Scott follows with RHYNO, produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk. This is followed by Sexy Magic, a joint effort from CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.., and Etienne de Crécy. Morgan Wallen contributes Last Thing You Need, Rauw Alejandro brings Macacoa 2000. Closing out the first wave is Rolling Stone’s Keith Richards covering Jimmy Reed’s blues classic Bright Lights, Big City.

The Rest Of The Tracks

Rockstar has not revealed the remaining 28 tracks yet. It's also worth separating the album from the game itself: this is a standalone collection of original songs, and the game's radio stations will almost certainly carry a much larger set of licensed tracks that never make it onto the album. Unverified tracklists claiming to leak additional names have already started circulating, but Rockstar hasn't confirmed any of them (which is also why we’re not covering them in this article). Expect more singles to trickle out between now and November 19.
