GTA 6 Collector's Edition Image Just Leaked; How Reddit Reacted

Just when we thought GTA 6 chatter was running out of fuel, a fresh image has been leaked to fan the flames. Posted on Reddit, these leaked images gave us a closer look at what seems to be the GTA 6 Collector’s Edition, or maybe a press kit. The same black box with a glossy finish, along with GTA 6 branding running all over it is something we saw earlier this week too.

Of course, Reddit did not just look at the pictures and move on, it built entire theories, arguments, and a fair bit of outrage around them.

What The Leaked Images Actually Show

The Reddit post by ithepunisher quickly gained GTA fans' attention, where it showed a sleek black box with ‘Vice City’ branding on the top, while the sides had the GTA 6 logo. This leak is especially big because similar-looking boxes leaked just a few days ago, indicating it is showing the real thing.

The consistency is what is fueling this whole debate, where some Redditors believe it’s the official merchandise, others find it somewhat suspicious.

Reddit user Dino_Spaceman seemed fairly certain about what the box actually is, writing, "This is almost certainly a press kit and not any sort of retail end cap packaging as previously theorized."

skepticallygullible wasn't as convinced, arguing, "You'd think they'd want to mention a collectors edition with the preorders to upsell an even more expensive version."

Others were more annoyed than curious. captn_frosty didn't hold back, writing, "It's sad that the only physical GTA 6 merch on offer is an empty plastic box."

IceJKING108 echoed that frustration, pointing out that "paying customers can't even get a physical disc but media and influencers... get to have at least physical memorabilia, probably for free," a sentiment ruhsognoc backed up while recalling the PS5 launch, writing, "richer you are, the more you get."

Not everyone bought into the leak at all. SeberHusky dismissed it outright, warning, "Nobody is getting anything because this is all AI. You fell for it again."

Between the packaging theories and the frustration over influencer freebies, one thing's clear: Reddit isn't just reacting to a box, it is reacting to everything the box represents and that does not bode well for Rockstar Games.
