When It Comes To Watches, Red Is Having A Renaissance

From daring dials to bold bezels, this season’s watches have made it clear!

By Nirja Dutt | LAST UPDATED: NOV 19, 2025

When it comes to timepieces, colour has always been a powerful expression of mood. In the recent past, it was all about blue. Then green had its moment—and still does, to some extent. But the tide has turned, and it’s bolder than ever. Enter: red.

Crimson isn’t new territory for watchmakers—Cartier, for instance, rolled out striking versions of the Tortue and Santos last year. But 2025 is seeing a deeper, more deliberate embrace of the shade. From guilloché to skeleton dials to smoky fumé finishes, red is the season’s statement—and it’s only just getting started.
