Two new Bowmore 20-year-old single malt whisky bottles are officially here: Captivo Sherry Cask Pursuit and Captivo Oak Voyage, launched together as the Bowmore Captivo Collection in partnership with design studio Snarkitecture. Sherry Cask Pursuit is bottled at 51.8% ABV with a UK RRP of £320, while Oak Voyage sits at 50.8% ABV and costs £312. Both are live on Bowmore's own site now, with wider retail rolling out through the rest of 2026.

Check out how each expression got there, cask by cask, and what actually sits in the glass before deciding which bottle earns a spot on the shelf.

Bowmore Captivo Sherry Cask Pursuit

This expression spends its twenty years across Spanish oak Oloroso Sherry casks and American oak ex-Bourbon casks, before a final Oloroso Sherry hogshead finish adds another layer of depth. The result reads more adventurous than sweet, tropical fruit and cracked black pepper arrive first, softened by oak and a note of smoked toffee, before the finish settles into sweet peat smoke with a trace of charred mango.

ABV: 51.8%

Price: £320 (RRP)

Bowmore Captivo Oak Voyage

Oak Voyage takes a more linear path, twenty years in American oak ex-Bourbon casks, finished in American oak Oloroso Sherry butts for added richness. It opens gentler than its sibling, with dark cherry, candied orange and Manuka honey up front, an unexpected lift of cool eucalyptus and toasted oak through the middle, and a close of soft vanilla sweetness trailing into a faint whisper of campfire smoke.

ABV: 50.8%

Price: £312 (RRP)

Both whiskies share the same 20-year backbone, yet they land in almost opposite places: one leaning into fruit and pepper, the other into warmth and sweetness. Oak Voyage reaches Harrods from September 1 before expanding into the US, Asia, Northern Europe and Canada, while Sherry Cask Pursuit heads into select global travel retail later this year.
