What Happened In The Boys Episode 7

Well, it had everything that the show has become famous for. Homelander declared the Democratic Church of America the country's official religion. Ashley and Steven wre to announce it in front of the cameras, but the latter hesitated and it cost him dearly. The scene was nasty, short, brutal, and very much in character. After all, Homelander stopped pretending he needs anyone's approval for anything and his nature tends towards cruelty by default.

While that was playing out, Frenchie and Butcher made a decision that felt equal parts desperate and dangerous, exposing Kimiko to uranium in the hope of building her into something that could eventually match, or at least challenge, what Homelander is capable of. But then Frenchie died. Just gone. It was, fast and unsentimental. The episode closed with Homelander turning up at the hideout.

The Boys Season 5 Episode 8: What To Expect From The Finale

The group is fractured, the trust is gone, and Homelander is more untouchable than he has ever been. If it were not for his twisted nature, he would have been godlike, such were his powers. Everyone else is stuck trying to hold things together long enough to matter. The show has spent five years telling us that good intentions do not protect anyone, so don't hold you breath thinking the finale is about to buck that trend.

Whatever ‘Blood and Bone’ delivers on Wednesday, it will definitely be uncomfortable.

The Boys is streaming now on Prime Video.
