Ted Lasso, the American football coach hired to guide an English team returns to take up a new challenge in the upcoming season of the Apple Tv show Ted Lasso.

The hit comedy series that saw Ted grappling with missing his son, Henry, and dealing with his ex-wife dating their formal therapist as his team surges up the ranking after adopting a "Total Football" strategy propelled by Jamie Tratt. He decides to step down at the end of the season to return to Kansas and be a full-time father.

Starring Jason Sudeikis in the lead role, the heartfelt sports centered series is now gearing up for Season 4 where Ted will be seen back in Richmond coaching second division Women's football team, Lady Greyhounds. This time it's all about leaping before looking.

The latest season of Emmy-winning sports comedy centered about the American football coach Ted Lasso, will premiere on August 5, 2026 on Apple Tv. Along with Jason Sudeikis, the show will also see Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt and more as cast members.

While the end of season 3 had many fans doubt whether Ted would return to Richmond after he decides to move to Kansas, the new trailer of Ted Lasso Season 4 shows the coach back in Richmond training a second division women's football team as well as giving answers for many cliffhangers in the subplots like how does he decide on returning to Richmond after making the decision at the penultimate episode of the season to move to Kansas, what happens between Roy and Keleey and will also dive deeper into Ted's relationship with his now 12-year old son Henry who is also a football player.

“As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap, in season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be,” Sudeikis said recently on Bill Lawerence podcast.

Through the season, the series will also highlight obstacles faced by Lady Greyhounds including lesser facilities, minimal media coverage, and fewer sponsorship opportunities compared to the men's team.

Originally Season 3 intended to be the last season of Ted Lasso, Sudeikis who first ideated the character for an NBC ad campaign and later created a meaner version for SNL skit also revealed that there is a three more season arc planned for the iteration of the show on Lawrence's podcast thus confirming season 4 ahead of its official trailer release.
