This week's South Indian streaming charts belong almost entirely to Telugu and Malayalam titles, and the range on offer is wider than usual, a period sports drama sharing shelf space with a hangman's moral crisis, a callback to a 1990s mystery-horror cult favourite, and a reality show built entirely around social media fame. Check out the biggest South Indian OTT releases arriving this week across Telugu and Malayalam streaming platforms. The list includes Peddi, Super Subbu, Muthassi, Isakapatnam, and more.

South Indian OTT Releases This Week June 29 - July 5, 2026

Peddi – Netflix (Expected July 2)

The week's headline release comes with numbers attached, Peddi crossed Rs 300 crore worldwide during its June theatrical run, which makes its streaming debut feel less like a quiet OTT drop and more like an event. Ram Charan plays a cricketer who plays for whoever pays best, until he falls for Achiyamma, the village sarpanch's daughter, played by Janhvi Kapoor, and gets drawn into a local man's years-long fight to get his village a railway station. Buchi Babu Sana directs, A.R. Rahman scores it, and while Netflix hasn't officially confirmed a date, July 2 is what most trade reports are circling.

Super Subbu – Netflix (July 2)

This one carries more weight than its comic premise lets on: Super Subbu is Netflix's first Telugu original series. Directed by Mallik Ram, the filmmaker behind DJ Tillu, it follows Subbu, a well-meaning young man who lands a job as a public awareness officer in the fictional village of Maakipur, and ends up, somewhat against his will, teaching sex education to a community that has no idea what to do with him. Sundeep Kishan leads, alongside Mithila Palkar, Manasa Choudhary and Brahmanandam.

Isakapatnam – Prime Video (July 2)

Set in a fictional port town in the 1990s, Isakapatnam follows Naidu, a man who claws his way from outsider to kingpin through politics, business and crime, and his daughter Bharathi, who starts questioning what that empire actually cost the people around her. Samuthirakani and Aishwarya Rajesh lead, with Sunil as a young police officer trying to use the cracks in that family to bring the whole operation down. It also marks the directorial debut of Garry BH, a respected editor stepping behind the camera for the first time.

Muthassi – ZEE5 (July 3)

Muthassi trades jump-scares for something slower and more domestic. Set in a Tulu-speaking village on the Kerala–Karnataka border, it follows Leela, a mother who starts noticing unsettling changes in her son Sreekuttan not long after her husband Rajan returns to his ancestral home, and the buried family history she has to dig through to understand why. It plays out less like a haunted house and more like a slow unraveling of inherited secrets.

Mollywood Times – JioHotstar (July 3)

After a theatrical run, Mollywood Times arrives on streaming with Naslen leading as Vineeth Madhavan, a filmmaker from Kuttikkanam chasing one specific dream: becoming Malayalam cinema's answer to M. Night Shyamalan. Director Abhinav Sunder Nayak follows him from amateur shorts to his first real feature, and the toll that kind of single-minded ambition takes along the way. It's as much about the cost of obsession as it is about horror filmmaking.

Gurtukoshunnai – ETV Win (July 3)

Director Winod Gali's Gurtukoshunnai leans into nostalgia rather than plot twists, following Viraj Ashwin and Yashaswi Rao through a story about memory, relationships and the small choices people end up carrying with them. Veteran actor Rohini Hattangadi anchors a supporting cast that also includes Shiva Narayana and Priyadarshini Ram, a reminder that not every release this week needs a body count.

Veerabhadruni Rahasyam – ZEE5 (July 3)

There's nothing nostalgic about Hang Man, the Sun NXT thriller about Sivayya, a state executioner ordered to carry out a sentence that turns out to be tied to his own son, Mukesh. What starts as a story about doing an unpleasant job well becomes a father-and-son reckoning with a justice system neither of them trusts anymore.

Top Telugu Influencer – Aha (July 3)

Aha closes out the week with reality television and a fairly literal premise: ten well-known digital creators, including names like Grandpa Kitchen and Famous Ram, competing across food, fashion and comedy challenges to be crowned the platform's top Telugu influencer. Rashmi Gautam hosts, with Lakshmi Manchu and Viva Harsha judging, a lighter note to end a week that's otherwise been heavy on crime, horror and grief.
