Probably the busiest month for streaming, with Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, and Zee5 all releasing some major titles between September 7 and September 13, 2026. The line-up spans across a Hindi historical drama, a Tyler Perry threequel, a Malayalam showbiz comedy, and a teen sports drama, among others. Here's a complete look at what's landing on OTT this week.
Director Nikkhil Advani's historical drama premieres on Prime Video on September 11 and tells the story of lesser-known young Indian freedom fighters who took on British rule with nothing but conviction and grit. The series stars Bhuvan Bam, Pratibha Ranta, Rohit Saraf and Gurfateh Pirzada, and marks one of Bam's biggest departures yet from his comedic YouTube roots into a full-blown period ensemble drama.
Sixteen years after the last instalment, Tyler Perry's beloved dramedy franchise returns with its third film, premiering globally on Netflix on September 9. Written and directed by Perry, the story reunites the original friend group - Marcus (Michael Jai White), Angela (Tasha Smith), Dianne (Sharon Leal), Troy (Lamman Rucker), Sheila (Jill Scott) and Mike (Richard T. Jones) - for the destination wedding of Marcus and Angela's daughter, Jasmine (Armani Greer), in Italy. As old friends gather for the celebration, the film revisits its franchise's signature question: after all these years, why did they get married again?
Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, this Hindi-language action-thriller arrives on Zee5 on September 11 and stars Pratik Gandhi and Arshad Warsi, with Ishita Dutta and Rajpal Yadav rounding out the cast. Set in the Hindi , it's described as a cat-and-mouse tale that follows men on both sides of the law across arid, unforgiving terrain, digging into rivalries and buried histories along the way.
This Malayalam comedy-drama, created by Shani Khader, premieres on JioHotstar on September 11. It follows Firoz, a small-town dreamer whose only ambition is to become a Pan-Indian film superstar — while nearly everyone around him has other ideas. His friends are experts at derailing his plans, his father Vappa Mammali agrees to produce one film purely in hopes that its failure will send Firoz back to the family business, his mother is busy browsing matrimony sites to find him a bride, and then there's his girlfriend, who has her own opinions too. The show stars Dain Davis, Harishma, Vidhya Vijayakumar and Nirmal Palazhi.
This one might be a very fun watch for fans of The Office. The mockumentary spin-off from the creators of The Office returns for its second season on September 9, streaming on JioHotstar (and Peacock internationally). Created by Michael Koman and Greg Daniels, the show follows the same documentary crew that once immortalised Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch. Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei and Melvin Gregg lead the cast.
Netflix's new eight-episode teen sports drama premieres on September 10. From showrunner Vivian Lin, it follows 16-year-old rower Teagan Tao (Miku Martineau), whose promising rowing career is derailed by her father's financial scandal, forcing her to relocate with her mother (Jessica Paré) and start over at the elite Easton Prep. With no girls' rowing team at the school, Teagan's only way onto the water is to become coxswain of the boys' crew
Created by Aatish Kapadia and JD Majethia, this Hindi comedy-family series also drops on Netflix on September 10. It centres on five quirky families living as neighbours in the fictional Chumbak Colony, where everyday chaos, misunderstandings and warm community bonds turn into an ongoing string of comic episodes. The cast includes Neena Gupta, Sumeet Vyas, Deven Bhojani and Amyra Dastur.
