Fans have waited a long time to see Rajinikanth slip back into the role of Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, and the first Jailer 2 Twitter review reactions suggest most of them got what they came for. Nelson Dilipkumar's sequel opened in theatres on October 15, 2026, and early viewers are talking up its humour, the Rajinikanth swagger, and the Anirudh Ravichander score. In fact, Rajinikanth in Jailer 2 has been praised to the skies for the wonderful comedy, cameos and cinematic climax. Among the cast are Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu. Here is the Jailer 2 Twitter review as early viewers weigh in on the performance of Rajinikanth.
The reviews show an audience that is largely pleased. Rajinikanth's presence, Nelson's comedy, Anirudh's score and the cameos keep coming up, though a few viewers have mixed feelings about the post-interval stretch.
One early viewer loved the first half of Jailer 2 but found the second comparatively weaker, summing it up as "Excellent First Half Followed by a Above Average Second half". The post singled out the cinematic climax, calling it "Goosebumps", and hinted that the ending leaves room for another instalment.
Another Jailer 2 Twitter review dubbed the film a "Solid Commercial 1st Half!", noting that the story takes a while to settle but picks up once Nelson's humour, Rajinikanth's mass moments and Anirudh's score kick in.
If early viewers agree on one thing, as is seen in their Jailer 2 Twitter reviews, it is that the film is fun. One reviewer gave it 3.75 stars and called it a "highly entertaining sequel", saying cameos and comic episodes keep things lively throughout.
Another went with "punchy, hugely entertaining sequel", pitching it as a film built for the big screen. Rajinikanth's presence, Anirudh's high-energy music and Nelson's comic timing were named as its biggest strengths.
Opinion is more divided after the interval. One viewer felt Jailer 2 leans heavily into action here, putting it as "More action than fun." Still, the post praised the cameos and mass moments, particularly those of Mohanlal, S. J. Suryah and Shivanna.
Another Jailer 2 Twitter review was very upbeat about the first half, repeating "SUPERB.. SUPERB.. SUPERB.." in the verdict. This viewer credited Nelson's screenplay for its fun stretches and three strong mass sequences, and named Rajinikanth's presence as a major draw.
Overall, early reactions to Jailer 2 are largely positive, with viewers praising the comedy, star power, background score and cameos, while the second half has drawn a more cautious response.
Nelson Dilipkumar directs Jailer 2, with Rajinikanth returning as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu are back from the original cast, Mohanlal and Shivarajkumar add star power, and Anirudh Ravichander again handles the music. The 2023 original collected more than Rs 600 crore worldwide.
