Venom: The Last Dance

For the lovers of MCU, we have both good and bad news. The good news is that the Spider-Man spin-off, Venom: The Last Dance, is just around the corner. The bad news is that this will be Tom Hardy’s last outing in this role. In this movie, Eddie and Venom are on the run, and things are getting tense. With both of their worlds closing in on them, this duo is faced with a tough choice that could spell the end of their wild ride together. Directed by Kelly Marcel, the film features Juno Temple and Alanna Ubach, along with Hardy.

Jigra

Gone are the days of brothers saving their sisters — as Jigra suggests, women are more than capable of protecting their younger siblings. In Vasan Bala’s new film, Alia Bhatt goes to hell and back to safeguard her brother, played by Vedang Raina, thereby challenging Bollywood’s traditional portrayal of women as mere victims. It’s a refreshing idea that aligns perfectly with the ongoing shift in women-oriented cinema in the country. Judging by the trailer, we’re expecting a grand-scale action movie where emotions and adrenaline both run high.

When you combine Rohit Shetty’s cop universe with the epic of Ramayana, what you have for yourself is India’s answer to the Avengers! Ajay Devgn is back as Singham and along with him are Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh’s Simmba. The new additions to this cop force are Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff while Kareena Kapoor Khan reprises her role as Devgn’s lady love. There’s also Arjun Kapoor playing the Ravana-like menacing villain who abducts Kapoor Khan, thereby invoking the wrath and might of Devgn and Co.. The Ramayana references obviously make it an apt release for Diwali and it’ll be interesting to see what Shetty has done with this mammoth star cast.

Manvat Murders

There’s something particularly eerie about watching a TV show that’s based on a true crime story. Every twist and turn has taken place in real life and that further adds to the drama on screen. This is probably why OTT platforms are churning them out faster than we, the viewers, can keep up. SonyLIV’s Manvat Murders is one such show. Set against the gritty backdrop of 1970s rural Maharashtra, this crime thriller unveils a chilling true story. Ashutosh Gowariker takes on the role of DCP Ramakant Kulkarni, who leads a tense investigation into a series of brutal murders that plague the area. Based on Kulkarni’s autobiographical book, Footprints on the Sands of Crime, the series tells a gripping tale of deception, betrayal and hidden truths, revealing the darkest aspects of human nature.
