For weeks, the Lollapalooza India 2027 rumour mill had everyone convinced that Tame Impala was coming. Fans were convinced the Australian act was headed to Mumbai that is set to take place on January 23 and 24, 2027, at the Mahalaxmi Race Course, but the lineup arrived without him.Neither are Red Hot Chili Peppers or Twenty One Pilots, despite all the speculation.
But this is not making Lollapalooza India 2027 one bit less exciting. Lollapalooza India 2027 has Olivia Dean, Limp Bizkit, KATSEYE, Anuv Jain, Indian Ocean, among its biggest names performing. Here is the full line up of performers we're excited to see at Lollapalooza India 2027:
Olivia Dean arrives in Mumbai at an unusually good moment in her career. Her 2025 album The Art of Loving went to No. 1 in the UK, its single Man I Need topped the UK singles chart, and she followed that run by winning Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammys.
Songs such as Man I Need, Dive, So Easy (To Fall in Love) and The Hardest Part have made Dean one of the most exciting voices in contemporary pop and R&B. Her Lollapalooza debut comes at the height of a major breakout year, and she is set to headline the festival in Mumbai.
The American nu-metal band were supposed to perform here back in 2013 as part of the Fly Festival, before the show was cancelled. Fred Durst later told Rolling Stone India that he really wanted to visit India and that the cancellation had only made the band more determined to come.
Fourteen years later, it is finally happening. Expect Break Stuff, Rollin’, Nookie a mosh pit waiting to happen for years. Limp Bizkit’s India debut has been a long time coming, and the fans are over the moon. Or at least excited enough to buy a pass for the whole day just for this act.
KATSEYE are probably one of the festival’s biggest crowd-pullers, especially for anyone who has watched the group go from a reality-show experiment to a genuinely global pop act. Their appeal is- huge hooks, sharp choreography, glossy production and the kind of songs that can be screamed back at a live show.
The current active lineup includes Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung, while Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman are on hiatus. Rhea Raj, Lara’s sister, is also performing at the festival, giving the weekend another connection to the Raj sisters.
Anuv Jain is one of the biggest Indian names on the bill, and his Lollapalooza performance is set to be different from his usual live shows. He is preparing a festival-exclusive performance with a new sonic and visual world created specifically for the occasion. After an enormous run over the past few years, the festival gives Jain a chance to build something specifically for a large-scale stage.
If you are looking for something heavier, Fontaines D.C. should be high on the list. The Dublin band have become one of the most compelling rock acts of their generation, expanding beyond their post-punk beginnings into something darker and more ambitious. Their Lollapalooza debut comes as they prepare to release their fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, later this year.
Their latest track, Marianne, gives a taste of where the band are headed next. Expect guitars, gloom and a fairly significant change of pace.
Indian Ocean have been pushing the boundaries of Indian fusion music for decades, and their inclusion gives the festival some much-needed musical history. The Manganiyar Seduction brings another kind of musical tradition to the bill, with the Rajasthani folk ensemble known for its distinctive presentation of Manganiyar music.
They are joined by Gujarati singer Aditya Gadhvi, whose work has brought Gujarati folk and contemporary sounds to a much wider audience.
Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent, has spent her career moving between art rock, electronic music and pop without ever staying in one lane for very long.
A six-time Grammy winner, she is also one of those artists whose live performances deserve attention in their own right. Her Lollapalooza set should be one of the festival’s more unpredictable stops.
One of the festival’s most intriguing collaborations comes from Stewart Copeland of The Police and Bengaluru-based composer-producer Ricky Kej.
Their Police Beyond Borders performance draws from Copeland’s 2023 album, which featured Indian musicians including Salim-Sulaiman, Shankar Mahadevan, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash and the Berklee Indian Ensemble. It is an unusual meeting of musical worlds, and one of the more interesting things happening across the four stages.
Then there is ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U, one of the festival’s most left-field bookings.
The Japanese producer and DJ moves through techno, trance, gabber, noise and experimental electronic music, making his set a strong option for anyone looking to escape the more familiar festival sounds.
The wider Indian lineup includes Varijashree Venugopal, Donn Bhat, Shanka Tribe, Rafiki, Curtain Blue, The Lightyears Explode, Meewakching, Calcutta Cowboy, Anoushka Maskey, Dohnraj & The Peculiars, Rasa, Noni-Mouse, Karshni, Raj and Shriya Rao, alongside hip-hop acts such as Swadesi and Ranj x Clifr.
There is definitely a lot to look forward to. The best part of a music festival, after all, is stumbling across a new favourite somewhere between the artists you already came to see. Lollapalooza India 2027 might be the perfect time for it.
