For the last few days, Ye fans who had booked tickets to his upcoming concert found themselves face to face with a rumour that the concert would be postponed or cancelled. This came after speculation began circulating online, with many assuming that the uncertainty was linked to the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Others suggested the timing could be tied to the release of Bully, the long-delayed album from Kanye West, who now goes by Ye, which is scheduled to drop on March 27, just two days before the concert was originally planned. Others theorised that it would be cancelled after his surprise LA concerts on April 1 sold out immediately.

Today, it was confirmed that the concert will indeed be pushed back. The announcement was shared by organisers behind the show, which is being mounted by White Fox, Plush Entertainment, and Wizcraft International, with the update circulating across ticketing platforms and fan pages shortly after the statement was issued. According to the organisers, Ye’s much-anticipated India debut, originally scheduled for March 29 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, will now take place on May 23, 2026. The statement cited external circumstances as the reason behind the rescheduling.

“Due to the prevailing geopolitical situation and regional tensions, the Ye show in New Delhi will now be rescheduled to 23 May 2026,” the organisers said in their announcement. They also added that all previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the new date, though further details regarding refunds have not yet been announced.

Despite the controversies that have surrounded the polarising artist over the years, the announcement of Ye’s first-ever performance in India had generated massive excitement. The concert had been positioned as a one-night-only stadium spectacle, with organisers describing it as one of the most ambitious standalone international music events attempted in the country.

For many fans, the show represented a rare opportunity to see one of hip-hop’s most influential performers live in India. The postponement, however, has left several ticket holders frustrated. Many had already spent significant amounts on travel and accommodation for the March date. With reimbursement policies still unclear, disappointed fans are now waiting for further updates while holding on to tickets for the newly announced May show.
