Even after making everyone wait 13 years for GTA 6 to launch, Rockstar somehow still finds a way to give you FOMO. But with so many rumours on social media, analyst comments, leaks and more, the chances of missing out on some GTA 6 details are high. And here we list the top 5 GTA 6 gameplay details you may have missed including optional relationships (read: Jason and Lucia), smart cops, lived-in safehouses and more. These details range from a romance that has strings attached to a carjacking that might finally make you respect your car door. Yes, there is plenty to unpack.

Top 5 GTA 6 Gameplay Details You Missed

Just recently, IGN India sat down with Rockstar North's co-studio head Rob Nelson for an extended hands-on GTA 6 gameplay demo, and oh boy, the details are juicier than your average Vice City gossip. Here are GTA 6 gameplay details that will have you flexing your wisdom among friends.

Jason And Lucia Romance

Jason and Lucia are in a situationship, quite literally. The romance is genuinely optional, with you holding the power to choose how Jason and Lucia spend time together outside missions: shopping, hair salons, heists, and yes, even a full-blown romance. Ignore their texts and see the relationship - sorry, situationship - falling apart. What's love got to do with it? Not much, seemingly. Does that mean romance is dead? Well, let us just say that you will not secure any gameplay bonus by falling in love, so it is pure roleplay.

Carjacking Finally Grew Up

Stealing a car was nothing more than a two-second animation, but in GTA 6, it is a whole new heist. Every vehicle sits on a tier system - the swankier the ride, the harder it fights back. Think key cloners for prestige cars instead of a simple slim jim. Scan it first using the WAINK app, just to be sure the car is not being tracked or alarmed, because some of them are there to snitch on you if you drive too slow.

The GTA 6 Wanted System Actually Watches You

The six-star system is back, and the cops are now way smarter. Now they remember your outfit, your face, even your car, so if you want to throw them off, changing your hairstyle will help since it drops your appearance icon, but your clothes still rat on you, so a full outfit change is non-negotiable. To dodge CCTV, it is best to put on a mask, and if you are travelling as a pair, just split up to divert police attention. Now that is called a perfect crime.

Safehouses Feel Lived-In, Literally

Not many people loved static GTA houses, so this time the base borrows from Red Dead Redemption 2's camp rather than GTA 5. Other people can wander in and out, hairstyles can be shortened or shaved at home (new cuts still need a salon or barber, sadly), and your stored vehicles come with actual trunks so you can stash weapons and spare outfits.

Crime Finally Pays Smarter, Not Just Louder

Money now genuinely drives the GTA 6 gameplay, and how you rob a place matters. Blow the safe for speed and damage the loot, or take your time cracking the combination and risk the cops showing up mid-job. Stolen cars and jewellery head to a fence afterward, though a scratched-up car sells for noticeably less, so gentle driving is suddenly a criminal skill.
