Have you heard of Bonnie and Clyde, the crime couple that made history and came to a horrible end? If you do not, then you might want to do that if you are a true GTA 6 fan. Rockstar seems to be borrowing a page from their Hollywood-worthy love-crime story, quite literally, in the way that the lead protagonists, Jason and Lucia, are portrayed. The couple robbed their way across the Depression era of America until the law finally caught up with them. They were gunned down in a police ambush on a Louisiana highway on May 23, 1934. Anyways, Jason and Lucia seem to be carrying on that same kind of doomed romance in GTA 6.
As if the GTA 6 Extended Look on Netflix was not enough, now a new batch of screenshots has made fans restless, drawing comparisons between the two couples while keeping Vice City as the background.
Rockstar has never nodded to the possibility that the love story is inspired by Bonnie and Clyde. But the parallels are hard to ignore. Two lovestruck couples, a crime spree, and a trail of chaos across a fictional Sun Belt that looks suspiciously like Florida instead of Texas.
Whether Jason and Lucia are headed for a shootout finale like their real-life counterparts is anyone's guess, but Rockstar clearly wants fans making that connection, and going by the internet's reaction, itis working exactly as planned.
These GTA 6 screenshots have provided another insight into the game ahead of its launch. While these are important, there are other sneak peeks into the GTA 6 gameplay available through leaked video clips. Rockstar Games may just be showcasing more content to take the attention away from them.
