That GTA 6 is certainly coming soon became quite clear as Rockstar ramped up its revelations over the summer months of 2026. Some summers give you a beach trip. This one gave gamers a whole fever dream, one that came with cover art, a price tag, and enough Vice City to keep the internet busy for three months straight. Rockstar drops kept coming until nobody could remember what a quiet week felt like before. And then there were the GTA 6 leaks, but that is another story.

As the season signs off, the GTA 6 scoreboard reads like a wishlist come true: a price reveal, a confirmed November 12 pre-load date, Ultimate Edition and pre-order bonus details, and a themed PS App logo. Rockstar also refreshed the 'VI' logo with white outlines, revamped its website, and even changed its social profile picture. Let's rewind the GTA 6 highlights.

The GTA 6 Big Reveals That Broke The Internet

The big one was The GTA 6 Extended Look, 27 minutes of gameplay with a fresh piece of artwork, and it came with three mission OSTs. A day earlier, Netflix put up an "I Vice City" billboard in LA.

Then the previews rolled in. YouTubers and journalists visited Rockstar North and came back with hundreds of new gameplay details and 29 screenshots.

Meanwhile, the GTA 6 pre-order details arrived with 63 screenshots and 2 clips, plus two limited-edition DualSense controllers and a new trailer. PlayStation joined in with a "Plays Best on PS5" tagline, an animated PS5 welcome page for pre-orders, and a commercial featuring GTA VI, including a live-action shot from Miami.
