After 13 years of waiting, the countdown for GTA 6 is finally down to weeks, not years. A steady drip of rumours about the map and its protagonists, has made Vice City suddenly feel a lot closer than it has in over a decade. GTA 6 price tags, for both editions, are out in the open, pre-orders are already live on PlayStation, Xbox, Amazon and elsewhere and Rockstar has dropped trailers and gameplay glimpses. And what is the game about? Mostly Jason and Lucia caught in a crime spree with lots of sex and violence involved.
Mark November 19 on the calendar, because that’s when GTA 6 lands on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X and S. PC players will have to sit this one out a little longer, with a launch expected sometime in the first quarter of 2027, alongside an online version tipped for next year.
In India, the Standard Edition is priced at Rs 5,999, while the Ultimate Edition goes for Rs 7,499 and throws in extras like a classic car collection, Vice City-themed styles and personalised weapon variants.
Both editions come bundled with a month of GTA+ and the Vintage Vice City pack, and given how massive the download is rumoured to be, pre-loading opens a full week early.
This time around, Rockstar is handing the wheel to two protagonists instead of one. Jason Duval, who comes with an Army background, and Lucia Caminos, seen cycling in and out of jail across trailer clips, will lean on each other to survive Leonida, the game’s fictional stand-in for Florida.
Expect the Vice City staples to return in full force: bars, nightclubs, parks, swamps and beaches, all stitched into what’s rumoured to be the largest, most densely packed map the franchise has ever built, right down to NPC behaviour, wildlife and shifting weather.
True to form, the single-player action-adventure carries an 18+ rating for extreme violence, sex and drugs, so this is very much not one for the kids.
