In fact, even as the interest in the GTA 6 preorder leak jumped on Reddit too, a post by r/GamingLeaksAndRumours has indicated many people with Best Buy affiliate accounts have got this email. GTA_Countdown took to Twitter and post this, "Oh my god they weren’t lying".
The email has a simple message saying, "GTA 6 Pre Order (Physical Game). Duration: May 18, 2026 – May 21, 2026." However, there is no confirmation from Rockstar so far.
In the meanwhile, what those fans who want to be among the first to play the game, should do is ensure they are ready to preorder by getting their funds in order so that no delays may end up bothering them. Rockstar will have some extra goodies for those who book early.

Bank of America Global Research analyst Omar Dessouky wants Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent, to do the video game industry a favour and test the $80 mark, IGN reports. The industry has been under the weather as the boom of the Covid years has faded and many companies are seeing little if any growth. A hike in prices will help boost revenues.
“We think it’s in Take-Two’s self-interest as a publisher and partner to many developers to raise the price point for the entire industry,” the analyst said.
However, if GTA 6 is priced at $70, this will be a cap imposed on the entire industry and all the other game-makers will not be able to breach it without backlash from fans.
