Honda’s new ZR-V Hybrid SUV debuts in India with a bold, high-riding stance, slim full-LED headlamps, 18-inch diamond-cut alloys and multiple premium colour options. Inside, it offers an all-black sporty cabin, 9-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, Bose 12-speaker audio, dual-zone climate control and rear AC vents, targeting buyers seeking comfort and tech-rich daily usability.
Honda has expanded its hybrid line of vehicles in India with the launch of the Honda ZR-V Hybrid (e:HEV). The all-new vehicle was rolled out alongside the Honda City facelift. Honda says that the ZR-V Hybrid is the result of its "Brilliant Liberation" concept that blends performance, individuality and much more. The SUV has a powerful appearance, is sporty and offers all the modern comforts for any type of trip. Also, just because it is an SUV, the driver does not have to worry about visibility as Honda has designed it in a way that enhances the field of view and visibility leaving fewer blind spots. This was made possible by the positioning the 'A' pillar as rearward as possible to ensure clear line of sight. The SUV can be used for daily commutes or for long-distance journeys with ease. Exterior
Honda ZR-V Hybrid exterior offers something that is quite necessary in Indian conditions - a high ground clearance. It also touts large tires and a high eye point. 2.0L e:HEV Sports Hybrid Powertrain
Honda’s hybrid technology offers a premium performance, enabling quick acceleration, response and overall efficiency in all kinds of driving conditions including driving in a city, a suburban road, on even winding roads and highways.
The Honda ZR-V gets its power from the e:HEV Sports Hybrid system. It is a combo of a 2.0-liter direct injection engine and a dual-motor hybrid system with e-CVT.
The best part is that the driver can enjoy the drive and does not have to focus on the various modes. This is simply because the car itself switches between Electric, Hybrid and Engine driving modes. Normal, Sport and Eco driving modes can be chosen as per the driver's preference. It all comes together to make for a refined and engaging driving experience .
The car offers some great features including regenerative braking that recovers energy while decelerating. It also offers a strong grip or road holding ability with its MacPherson front suspension, multi-link rear suspension plus Electric Power Steering (EPS). Also, the steering is responsive and noise suppression makes for a quiet ride.
Safety
An array of safety features have been provided that use active and passive technologies. Dubbed Active Safety – Honda SENSING the system offers a collision mitigation braking System, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist system, road departure mitigation system, 8 airbags system, driver attention monitor, front and rear parking sensors, hill descent control, hill start assist and more.
