Casio watches are best known for delivering reliable timekeeping without demanding a luxury-watch budget. Its latest releases, however, tell a different story. The G-Shock MRG-D5000 Blue Sapphire carries an approximate price tag of Rs 66.4 lakh and is limited to just 20 pieces worldwide. The Casio G-Shock MRG-D5000 Blue Sapphire watch has been Casio’s top G-Shock line since the MRG-100 arrived in 1996, and this watch marks its 30th anniversary. It is the first G-Shock to build its shock-resistant structure around blue sapphire crystal, which is hard but brittle. To protect it, the bezel and case are assembled from separate parts without screws, which can crack the stone. The watch also has titanium parts with a black diamond-like coating, Tough Solar charging, radio time-sync and 200-metre water resistance. Casio’s earlier price record was the solid 18-carat gold G-D5000 of 2019, made in 35 pieces.
Casio G-Shock MRG-D5000 Blue Sapphire Price: Rs 66 lakh (approx.)
Casio has taken the same blue-sapphire idea and made it far easier to own. Two 2-carat sapphires sit at the top and bottom of a titanium case with a Cobarion bezel, finished in blue ion plating. The stones are lab-grown, because natural ones rarely reach the shade Casio wanted. Casio named the watch after the ice cave inside Iceland’s largest glacier. The caseback carries the MR-G 30th logo and a serial number, and only 500 will be made, arriving in December.
Casio G-Shock MRG-B5000SA Price: Rs 5.3 lakh (approx.)
The MTG-B4000 series launched in 2025 as the first G-Shock with a frame designed with the help of AI. This all-black version followed in Japan in May 2026. The frame combines layered carbon with stainless steel, and the bracelet pairs steel with carbon-fibre-reinforced resin. The watch weighs 178 grams. It has Bluetooth, radio time-sync, Tough Solar charging, a sapphire crystal and 200-metre water resistance.
Casio G-Shock MTG-B4000BD-1A Price: Rs 1.2 lakh (approx.)
Oceanus is Casio’s dressier line, and this model comes from its Retro Tone collection, released in August 2026. It is sold only in Japan and limited to 300 pieces. The case is titanium, and the bezel ring is sapphire glass in rose-gold plating. The watch is solar-charged and pairs with the Casio Watches app over Bluetooth.
Casio Oceanus Manta S400 Price: Rs 99,000 (approx.)
This is the only watch on the list you can buy in India today. It is a compact solar chronograph with a 38.3mm-wide steel case and bracelet, a tachymeter bezel, a blue chronograph hand and a sapphire crystal. It times to one-twentieth of a second, resists water to 100 metres, and a full charge lasts about five months. Casio India lists the resin-strap sister model, the EFS-S660PB-1A, at the same price.
