Saint Laurent takes the shield sunglasses somewhere sharper. This rectangular pair wraps around the face in full metal, with sculptural side spoilers that give the otherwise clean silhouette a slightly futuristic edge.
There’s something slightly subversive about putting leather where silk usually goes. This Bottega Veneta tie is woven in the house’s signature Intrecciato and rendered in doubleblack, giving the most buttoned-up accessory in a man’s wardrobe a less obedient streak.
The field jacket gets a lighter touch. Tod’s cuts this one from pure linen, keeping its four-pocket utility intact while adding a drawstring waist for a cleaner shape. T-stitched buttons and a leather tag at the lapel bring just enough Italian polish to keep things interesting.

Take a hiking boot, strip it back and turn it into a derby. The LV Remix does just that with a back tab and key bell nodding to Louis Vuitton’s leather goods. Underfoot, a lightweight rubber outsole keeps things sturdy.
Featherwork brings to life an imaginary serpent coiling across the dial within a fantastical landscape, creating a three-dimensional effect. Encased in 18K white gold, the hours, minutes, day of the week and date are displayed through four apertures in this self-winding timepiece, with a power reserve of 40 hours.
Suede usually comes with a certain heaviness. Zegna’s version takes a more relaxed route. In a sophisticated olive green, the soft suede overshirt has the easy proportions of a leisure piece, with a straight hem that keeps the silhouette clean. Shirt cuffs and a button closure bring in enough structure to make it an easy middle ground between a jacket and a shirt.
Even a good bag can use a little character. Jonathan Anderson’s Dior crow charm brings together navy suede, a yellow button and antique silver-finish brass details, with a leather cord that makes it easy to move between bags. An unexpected finishing touch for anyone who thinks a little personality belongs in the details.
There’s a certain pleasure in a jacket that gives you something to discover. Gucci works its Web motif into a tonal trim, then adds padded details, leather patches, embossed accents and embroidery across the design.
