The result lies on its side, twisted through 180 degrees with no base, resting like automotive sculpture rather than a bottle on a shelf. Inside the Macallan Horizon whisky bottle is a single malt crafted by Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell, finished with reclaimed copper from old stills, aluminium, and Bentley's own low-carbon leather.

The Glenturret handed the details to James Turrell himself, a tribute to the artist's eightieth year, and it shows. Lalique's glassblowers injected the neck with pale violet crystal, spread precisely enough that the glass stays clear while the whisky glows brighter through it. The stopper, deep blue and angular, borrows its silhouette from the Great Pyramids, echoing Turrell's fascination with light and desert landscapes.

Aston Martin's design team built this triangular decanter to echo the black basalt rocks along Loch Indaal, right outside the Bowmore distillery's door. Only one Bowmore ARC-52 Mokume Edition whisky existed, and it went under the hammer at Sotheby's, where bidders pushed past the original estimate.
