What To Watch Tonight On OTT: 5 Best Shows And Movies On Netflix,Prime Video And More

Akka, Netflix

Well, picture this: it’s the 1980s in Pernuru, a fictional South Indian kingdom where women hold all the power. Keerthy Suresh plays Bhavani, the woman protecting this order, and then Radhika Apte walks in as Rudra, an outsider whose arrival rocks the boat. Tanvi Azmi also features. So, expect a gangster story mixed with a rivalry built on loyalty and ambition. All episodes have been streaming since October 30.

Dead-End Job, Netflix

Now, imagine a job that pays 50 times the minimum hourly wage. For someone buried in debt, that sounds like a dream, right? Well, not quite. In this Korean mystery-horror series, Lee Jae-wook plays Hyeok-jun, who takes up an offer from the mysterious Spider Staffing Agency. The catch is that every assignment brings a new and dangerous ordeal. Go Min-si, Kim Min-ha and Lee Hee-jun round out the cast. Dead-End Job has been on Netflix since October 30.

Meethe Mein Kya Hai, Netflix

So, if you’d rather watch something gentler, this Hindi drama puts the lovable mess of a family reunion front and centre. Ritwik Bhowmik plays a young widower whose grief starts to ease when he returns home for a Diwali gathering. Well, things don’t stay calm for long, because his sister’s surprise marriage sets off fresh complications. Rohini Hattangadi and Ayesha Raza co-star, and the story mixes humour, old tensions and family ties.

Don’t Trouble The Trouble, Netflix

Now, here’s Fahadh Faasil in a completely different avatar. In this Telugu fantasy comedy, he plays Suri, a small-time crook whose life changes after he meets Divya, a young girl with magical powers. So, what starts as an odd friendship soon turns into a search for her missing parents, and well, that means plenty of mischief, adventure and emotion along the way. Ssara Palekar plays Divya, with Venkatesh Kakumanu and Saurabh Sachdeva in supporting roles. The film is now streaming on Netflix.

Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, Prime Video

And finally, he’s back. Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter Morgan, and well, his double life only gets messier as two killers grab attention in New York. Brian Cox joins as the New York Ripper, while Dan Stevens plays the Five Borough Killer. Uma Thurman returns as Charley, and Jack Alcott is back as Dexter’s son, Harrison. The season began on October 30, with new episodes arriving weekly. So, in India, you can catch it on Prime Video.
