It is about to be the first week of November 2026, and the world is hard to look away from. Diwali is just a few days away, so is the much-awaited Ranbir Kapoor film Ramayana. The news cycle is loud, the feeds are louder, and by evening most of us would happily watch something that asks nothing of us but our attention.

That makes this month's streaming slate arrive at the right time. Diwali falls on 8 November, which means long evenings, family on the sofa, and a remote that gets passed around. Netflix has the Hindi gangster drama Akka just ahead of the month, and The Gilded Age returns for a fourth season on 1 November. Prime Video brings The Rings of Power back on 11 November and The Chosen on 15 November, while Apple TV's Stick arrives on 3 November.

Some of these are comfort viewing and some are escape. A few are worth clearing a weekend for, and the rest can wait until the world gives you a quieter week. Check them out.
