It's serious guys, VisionQuest will now be the final streaming show before Avengers: Doomsday finally hits the screens on December 18, 2026. The eight-episode show closes the trilogy that began with WandaVision in 2021 and continued with Agatha All Along in 2024. Here's everything you need to know about it.

VisionQuest OTT Release Date And Where To Watch

In India, VisionQuest streams on JioHotstar from October 14, 2026. It is available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Outside India, the series streams on Disney+.

The rollout is not a standard weekly drip. The first two episodes arrive together on October 14, the third and fourth follow on October 21, and the fifth and sixth land on October 28. Episode seven arrives on November 4, and the finale closes the run on November 11. The hour of the Indian drop can differ from the US release, so check the JioHotstar app on the day.

Runtime explains part of the doubled-up rhythm. Dark Horizons reports that the first six episodes run between 45 and 54 minutes, while the last two clock in at 62 and 68 minutes, which would make them the longest episodes in MCU television to date. The finale lands roughly five weeks before Doomsday, and Paul Bettany has said he expects to be in Avengers: Secret Wars, which follows in December 2027.

Marvel's VisionQuest Plot

The series finds Vision, after his reboot, living in hiding as a regular human being after escaping those who wanted to turn him into a weapon. Searching for a new purpose, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including Tony Stark's F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H. and J.A.R.V.I.S. (and of course, Ultron). His secret life ends when a bounty is placed on his head, and he is forced to run with Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious boy who may be his reincarnated son.

The bigger threat, however, is inside Vision's own mind. Showrunner Terry Matalas has explained that Vision kept Ultron backed up in his processors instead of finishing him off, which sets up a three-way father and son dynamic between Ultron, Vision and Tommy. Outside his head, Vision must contend with Paladin, a bounty hunter in relentless pursuit of his head, and with Jocasta, a vengeful android who in Marvel Comics was created as Ultron's bride.

That said, don't expect to see a reunion with Wanda. Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff has not been announced for the series (at least officially).

Marvel's VisionQuest Cast And Crew

Paul Bettany returns as Vision, a role he has played since Avengers: Age of Ultron, having first entered the MCU as the voice of J.A.R.V.I.S. James Spader returns as Ultron, whom he played in the 2015 film, and this time the villain appears in physical form for the first time. Ruaridh Mollica plays Thomas Shepherd, also identified as Tommy Maximoff, Todd Stashwick plays Paladin and T'Nia Miller plays Jocasta.

The AI circle is filled out by James D'Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S., Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H. and Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., with Henry Lewis as Dume-E and Jonathan Sayer as U. Faran Tahir returns as Raza, the Ten Rings leader from the 2008 film Iron Man, while Lauren Morais and Diane Morgan have also joined the cast. Polly Frame completes the announced list.

Terry Matalas, known for Star Trek: Picard, serves as showrunner and directed the final two episodes himself. Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro and Vincenzo Natali also direct, and Bettany is credited as an executive producer alongside Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito and Brad Winderbaum. The show is billed as a limited series, though Matalas has said Vision's story could stretch across more seasons, with any renewal left to Marvel and Disney+.

Few Marvel characters have been rebuilt as often as Vision, and the premise asks him to rebuild himself from the inside, one borrowed memory at a time. Matalas has called Vision a blank slate and compared his journey to Spock's in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Whether that earns the show a place on the road to Doomsday is a question the finale on November 11 will answer.
