Kim Ji-yeon finally gets to rewrite her own fate on screen, Hyun Bin closes out the most expensive K-drama Disney+ has ever bankrolled, and Song Kang trades his army boots for a piano bench in his first project back from military service. This week's K-drama releases, running from September 21 to 27, cover a lot of emotional ground: a body-swapping time-travel romance, a noir finale nine years in the making, a lottery win that changes almost nothing, and a piano rivalry that the makers insist is a bromance and not a BL, whatever the teaser trailer suggested. Add a decade-old relationship on the rocks, a wedding-dress shop co-run by soon-to-be exes, and a black-comedy military unit that cannot stop causing accidents, and the week starts to look less like a schedule and more like a mood board. Kim Ji-yeon plays actress Yoon Ha-na, whose soul swaps with her twin brother Ha-ru (Jang Se-hyuk) after an accident. Using an old camcorder, they travel back in time to save Ha-na's first love, Jung Woo-jae (Park Seo-ham), a former judo prodigy turned bodyguard. Episodes 1 and 2 arrive on September 26 and 27.
Hyun Bin returns as Baek Ki-tae, now deputy director of the Korean Central Intelligence Agency while secretly running a drug empire. Jung Woo-sung reprises prosecutor Jang Geon-young, who continues his pursuit. The final two episodes land September 23, with Disney+ confirming there will be no season 3.
Song Kang's first project after military service pairs him with Lee Jun-young as rival pianists at Korea Arts High School. Song Kang plays perfectionist Kang Bi-o, while Lee Jun-young's Choi Jeong-yo is an untrained talent who challenges his dominance. Jang Gyu-ri also stars as violist Hong Jae-in. New episodes arrive September 19 and 20.
Lee Jun-hyuk stars as Gong Eun-tae, a sales team leader who wins 1.3 billion won in the lottery but realises it is not enough to retire in Seoul. He returns to work the next morning. Episodes 5 and 6 stream September 24.
Seo Kang-jun and Ahn Eun-jin play a couple who have been together for ten years but find their relationship losing its spark. New people entering their lives force them to question whether they are staying together out of love or habit. Episodes 5 and 6 release September 26 and 27.
Kim Min-ho returns as corporal Park Min-seok in the fourth season of the military comedy. A mysterious new recruit and a reform-minded battalion commander throw his unit into chaos. Episodes 9 and 10 arrive September 21 and 22.
Lee Min-jung and Kim Ji-seok play married co-CEOs of a wedding-dress shop who have decided to end their marriage while continuing to run their business together. Episodes 11 and 12 stream September 23 and 24.
Set in a neighbourhood hair salon, the workplace drama follows intern Gi-bbeum as she adjusts to life among experienced stylists and demanding customers. Episodes 1 and 2 are out September 19 and 20.
Kian84 returns to his remote-island guesthouse, this time joined by BTS' Jin and Ji Ye-eun. The new season brings more chaotic games, activities and unsuspecting guests, with the season premiering September 22.
