If your K-drama watchlist has been waiting for a little disruption, this week's lineup has plenty to offer. The Latest K-Drama Releases Of The Week (Sep 14-20, 2026) move between Joseon-era romance, political rivalry, military misadventures and stories about love, ambition and second chances. Son Ye-jin returns to the screen alongside Ji Chang-wook and NANA in The Scandal, while Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung head towards another confrontation in Made in Korea Season 2. Meanwhile, Four Hands, Two Sonatas brings Song Kang into a world of young musicians, and The Ordinary Jackpot turns an ordinary office worker's life upside down with a massive lottery win. Here are the nine dramas and returning favourites to know about this week.
Son Ye-jin makes her K-drama comeback after four years as Lady Cho, a sharp-witted Joseon noblewoman who challenges notorious playboy Cho Won (Ji Chang-wook) to a dangerous wager. NANA plays Hui-yeon, a young widow caught in their game of seduction and deception. Inspired by Dangerous Liaisons, all eight episodes release together on Netflix on September 18.
Kim Hyang-gi stars as Gi-bbeum, a nervous intern finding her feet at a busy neighbourhood hair salon run by Michelle (Oh Yoon-ah). As the stylists deal with demanding clients and their own personal troubles, the series leans into warm workplace comedy and character-driven stories. Episodes 1 and 2 arrive on September 19 and 20.
Hyun Bin returns as Baek Ki-tae, a powerful KCIA operative, opposite Jung Woo-sung's prosecutor Jang Geon-young, with their old rivalry entering its final chapter nine years later. Set against 1970s Korean politics, the six-episode second season follows Geon-young's attempt to finally bring Ki-tae down. Episodes 3 and 4 release on September 16.
Lee Jun-hyuk plays Gong Eun-tae, a burnt-out sales team leader who wins 1.3 billion won in the lottery but still turns up at work the next morning. Based on the web novel Lotto Winner Also Goes To Work, the series explores how sudden wealth changes his attitude towards his exhausting job and colleagues. Episodes 3 and 4 arrive on September 17.
Seo Kang-joon and Ahn Eun-jin play a couple whose ten-year relationship has slipped into a comfortable routine. As new people enter their lives, they begin questioning whether they are still together because of love or simply habit. Episodes 3 and 4 stream on Prime Video on September 19 and 20.
Kim Min-ho returns as Park Min-seok, now a corporal who finds little peace after a suspicious new recruit and an unpredictable battalion commander arrive at his unit. Kim Dong-jun and Lee Won-jung also return in the military comedy. Episodes 7 and 8 release on September 14 and 15.
Lee Min-jung marks her return to K-drama after six years as one half of a wedding dress shop's co-CEO couple whose marriage is unravelling while the partnership holds, opposite Kim Ji-seok as her soon-to-be ex.
Ahn Bo-hyun returns as wealthy heir-turned-detective Jin Yi-soo, now working alongside tough team leader Joo Hye-ra (Jung Eun-chae). Their uneasy partnership develops as the cases become more dangerous. Episodes 13 and 14 arrive on September 18 and 19, bringing the 14-episode season towards its finale.
Song Kang marks his post-military comeback opposite Lee Jun-young in a musical already compared to a gentler K-drama Whiplash, tracking two pianists whose rivalry shares one keyboard. Jang Gyu-ri completes the trio.
