If you are a fan of South Indian content, then we have just the fare for you. Five new South Indian titles land on OTT this Friday, October 23, 2026, across Netflix, JioHotstar and ZEE5. Karthik Subbaraj's Dorothy, with Keerthy Suresh, and Nani's 1980s-set The Paradise lead the Netflix offering, while Vishwadev Rachakonda's suspense comedy Varam brings a supernatural twist to JioHotstar. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar returns in the courtroom drama Sattamum Needhiyum Season 2 on ZEE5, and Netflix adds the Malayalam time-loop comedy Dhoomakethu, led by Sajin Gopu and Nikhila Vimal. These are the 5 new Friday South Indian OTT releases to plan your weekend around, across Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
Karthik Subbaraj's Tamil drama is set in the 1980s, where childhood friends Karthi and Subbu grow up as henchmen under Subbu's father, Whistle Veeraiah. The household unravels after the mysterious death of Dorothy, Subbu's sister-in-law. Subbu then reveals her true gender identity and is cast out by the family, and Veeraiah hires Karthi to eliminate her. The journey they share instead forces Karthi to face his own feelings. Sananth, Rishikanth, Keerthy Suresh and Ramachandran Durairaj feature in the cast.
The Paradise reached Netflix on October 22, a day early, but it earns its Friday spot. Srikanth Odela's Telugu action drama is set in 1980s Secunderabad, where Jadal fights for the dignity of his marginalised Savaari community and takes on the powerful Malik family at great cost. It is the weightiest watch of the week, best saved for a weekend evening. Nani leads, with Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni and Raghav Juyal.
Varam landed on October 22 too, but it is the easiest series to start on a Friday night. Aditya Mandala's Telugu suspense comedy follows Raju, a slum dweller who can see tomorrow's news today and uses it to escape poverty, only for fate to push back. Vishwadev Rachakonda, Shivathmika Rajasekhar, Srinivasa Avasarala and Sruthy Jayan star.
Balaji Selvaraj's Tamil drama returns with advocate Sundaramoorthy handling a case that tests his principles. The deeper he digs, the more he finds institutional corruption and agendas designed to keep the truth buried, while a new character adds further complications. The season stays in the grey zone between power and morality, where every choice demands a sacrifice. Saravanan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Lavanya and Prem Kumar lead the cast.
Sudhi Maddison's Malayalam time-loop comedy begins on a grim note. Kuttan, a 36-year-old bachelor, reaches his long-awaited wedding to Sharmila, only for masked intruders to kill him and abduct the bride. Each death returns him to the same wedding morning. With a friend's help, he keeps trying to rewrite the day and uncovers a conspiracy linked to a rare comet. Sajin Gopu, Nikhila Vimal, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Shine Tom Chacko and Sidharth Bharathan star.
