This week’s K-drama lineup offers diverse genres, from campus romance in 'Between Steps' to period espionage in '100 Days Of Deception.' Highlights include Ji Chang-wook's rom-com 'Merry Berry Love' and Kim Ji-won's medical noir 'Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia,' alongside new episodes of ongoing dramas like 'A Love Other Than Yours' and 'Salon De Nabi.'
October opens with a fresh round of new K-drama releases and returning favourites, with campus-style romance, island rom-com, medical noir, fantasy and period espionage all in the mix. The latest K-drama releases of the week (Oct 5-11) begin with Choo Young-woo and Kim So-hyun's Between Steps and Ji Chang-wook and Imada Mio's Merry Berry Love, followed by Lee Jun-hyuk's The Ordinary Jackpot, which wraps up its run, and Kim Ji-won's Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia. Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soo-bin's Take Charge Of My Heart and Kim Yoo-jung and Park Jin-young's 100 Days Of Deception close out the week's premieres. There are also new episodes of Seo Kang-jun and Ahn Eun-jin's A Love Other Than Yours, Kim Hyang-gi's Salon De Nabi, Dive Into You and Love On The Menu.
Choo Young-woo and Kim So-hyun headline this romance set in a robotics laboratory. Young-woo plays Min-jae, a former swimmer who lost a leg to illness and became a robotics PhD student; So-hyun plays Yujin, a graduate student starting over.
Ji Chang-wook and Imada Mio star in this Korean-Japanese romantic comedy. A disgraced Korean spatial designer lands on a Japanese island, where an unlikely bond forms with a strawberry farmer. Expect a fish-out-of-water story about second chances.
Lee Jun-hyuk leads this offbeat office drama about a salesman who wins 1.3 billion won in the lottery yet keeps showing up to work. Episodes 9 and 10 land on October 8, closing the 10-episode run.
Kim Ji-won stars as a gifted surgeon who takes on corruption and entrenched power inside a major hospital. Lee Jung-eun and Son Hyun-joo also feature in the cast of this medical noir, which premieres on SBS.
Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soo-bin lead this unusual romantic comedy. He plays a corporate heir with an artificial heart; her character has a strange electrical ability that can recharge him. It is the week's most fantastical premiere.
Kim Yoo-jung and Park Jin-young star in this period spy romance set in 1932 Gyeongseong. A skilled pickpocket goes undercover to steal secrets from the Japanese colonial government and becomes entangled with her target's son.
Seo Kang-jun and Ahn Eun-jin lead this grounded romance about a couple in their tenth year together. Episodes 7 and 8 continue a story caught between long-term comfort, fading intimacy and difficult choices.
Kim Hyang-gi stars as a young salon intern navigating customers, colleagues and the complicated relationships around her workplace. Episodes 7 and 8 are scheduled across the weekend.
Dive Into You returns with Episodes 5 and 6. The fantasy romance follows a celebrity actress and her twin brother after an accident sends them back in time and triggers a body-swap.
The romantic drama continues with new episodes across the weekend, deepening its mix of family tension, romance and long-buried secrets. Like Dive Into You, it streams on Viki. Availability varies by region; check your platform.
