After three hit seasons on OTT, Mirzapur made the leap from streaming to the big screen. Mirzapur: The Movie released in theatres on September 4, 2026, giving longtime fans their first chance to see the franchise's new storyline on the big screen. The film is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, who had previously directed episodes of the show on Amazon Prime Video, with the script written by Puneet Krishna.
The series first premiered in November 2018 and quickly won over audiences, building a devoted fan following around characters like Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit, Munna, and several others.
Pankaj Tripathi steps back into the role of Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal returns as Guddu, and Divyenndu is back as Munna, a character whose return alone has fans buzzing, given how his arc ended in the series. Supporting the trio are Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Ravi Kishan, and Jitendra Kumar, the latter having joined the project after Vikrant Massey stepped away from it.

What's clear from the numbers is that demand pushed early bookings quite high: advance sales alone crossed 1.65 lakh tickets before the film even opened, generating gross advance collections in the crore range even before block seats were added in.
Since its release, the film has minted Rs 125.60 crore at the domestic box office.
