One of India's most iconic OTT franchises is finally making the leap to the big screen. "Mirzapur: The Movie" is set to release in theatres on September 4, 2026, backed by Excel Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios, marking the crime-thriller universe's first full theatrical outing after three seasons on Prime Video.

The film is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, who has helmed episodes of the original series, and written by Puneet Krishna. It brings back the franchise's core cast: Pankaj Tripathi returns as Akhandanand "Kaleen Bhaiya" Tripathi, Ali Fazal reprises Guddu Pandit, and Divyenndu makes his much-anticipated comeback as Munna Tripathi, one of the show's most talked-about characters.
