India begins August 1 at the Commonwealth Games 2026 with 23 medals, five gold, 12 silver and six bronze, to sit 10th in the overall standings. The tally reflects results at the end of July 31, when Neeraj Chopra claimed silver in the men's javelin throw and Yashvir Singh added bronze. India enjoyed its best day of the Commonwealth Games 2026 on Friday July 31, collecting six medals across athletics and judo. Neeraj Chopra claimed silver in the men's javelin with a season-best 85.83m, while Yash Vir Singh secured bronze with a personal-best 85.41m. Tejaswin Shankar added another athletics medal in the decathlon, while judokas Asmita Dey, Harsh Singh, and Yamini Mourya also finished on the podium.
