Gold House’s grand Diwali celebration in Los Angeles, co-hosted by Rohini Iyer, brought together influential South Asian figures from entertainment, fashion, and media. The event featured cultural showcases, culinary experiences, and the launch of the Gold Stack Shorts Fund, highlighting the community’s growing global impact.

Diwali celebrations in Los Angeles had already begun making their rounds when Gold House brought the evening to a glittering close with its biggest Gold Diwali celebration yet. Held on October 29 at The Majestic Downtown, Los Angeles, the annual gathering brought together some of the most influential names across entertainment, fashion, media and business.

Following Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s Diwali celebrations earlier in the day, the festivities continued at Gold Diwali. Among those leading the gathering was entrepreneur and cultural figure Rohini Iyer, who co-hosted the evening alongside an impressive roster of artists and media personalities, including Bing Chen, Tan France, Freida Pinto and Avantika.

This year, the party came with another reason to celebrate. Namit Malhotra's Ramayana, already set to be one of the biggest films of 2026, releases on November 5th, and the cast joined the celebration ahead of their worldwide release.

The guest list included a cross-section of the South Asian creative community. From Sanya Malhotra, Rhea Raj, Janina Gavankar and Manish Dayal to Rahul Kohli, Richa Moorjani, Hannah Simone and Michelle Khare, the evening brought together established names and emerging voices, alongside founders, executives and cultural tastemakers. The atmosphere reflected the growing reach of a community increasingly shaping conversations across industries and continents.

Beyond the guest list, Gold House used the occasion to put its support behind the next generation of South Asian storytelling. Among the evening's announcements was the Gold Stack Shorts Fund. Launched in partnership with South Stack Studios, it will support proof-of-concept short films and micro-series centred on compelling stories from the South Asian community. Applications opened on October 30, with final selections scheduled for January 10.

Heritage also found an expression in design. Celebrated Indian designer Anita Dongre unveiled a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted carrom board created in collaboration with Gold House, transforming a familiar fixture of South Asian family homes into a contemporary cultural collectable. The evening also featured the limited-edition Cuyana x Gold House Marigold Charm, bringing a recognisable symbol of home into everyday dressing.

Rasoi Catering organised a South Asian culinary experience for the guests, along with an interactive carrom lounge and a musical programme featuring DJ MissNINJA alongside KVS Tabla. An exclusive jewellery experience by Bhindi Jewellers and a custom portrait installation added to the evening.

For Gold House, the annual celebration extends beyond the symbolism of the Festival of Lights. It is an opportunity to recognise the people building cultural influence over generations, while creating meaningful connections across industries. This/ year's gathering offered a compelling reflection of a South Asian community finding new ways to celebrate its roots while shaping its place on the global stage.
