A fresh Weibo leak claims the iPhone 18 Pro is heading into stores with three colours that share zero overlap with last year's lineup, and if true, cosmic orange fans have some grieving to do. Leaker Fixed Focus Digital says the iPhone 18 Pro has entered mass production in sky blue, black (or dark gray, depending on who's translating), and a brand-new burgundy shade some are already calling dark cherry. Apple has already picked Wednesday, September 9, 2026, for its "Surprise and Shine" event, kicking off at 10 AM PT, or a rather inconvenient 10:30 PM IST for anyone hoping to stay up. The iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and Apple's first-ever foldable iPhone are all expected to headline the night.
Pre-orders haven't been confirmed, but leaks are pointing to September 12, with phones on shelves by September 18. The twist this year: only the Pro models and the foldable show up in September, while the standard iPhone 18 and 18e get pushed all the way to spring 2027.
It'll also mark the first big event under new CEO John Ternus, with the foldable and the "dark cherry" shade expected to steal most of the spotlight.
