The countdown is almost over, and Apple is about to make your wallet nervous all over again. The iPhone 18 Pro Max will make its grand entrance on September 9 2026, and if industry analysts and leaks are anything to go by, this one is coming in hot, literally, price-wise. Bigger battery, sharper chip, a camera that finally wants to control its aperture- Apple's clearly done holding back. Apple is all set to hike iPhone 18 Max Pro prices. Honestly, we cannot blame them anymore, as the whole smartphone market is suffering because of the chip shortage, thanks to AI demand. So, coming back to the subject, expect the iPhone 18 Pro Max price to be anywhere between Rs 154900 to Rs 159900 for 256GB variant, with the latest leaks even suggesting Rs 169000 to Rs 180000 for the highest end variants. But this is as per leaks, so all we can do is just wait just a few more hours.
The design stays largely familiar to the iPhone 17 Pro, though the rear casing might blend glass and aluminium more seamlessly this time. The real win sits inside: a 5100-5200mAh battery, bigger than before, though it does come with a slightly thicker, heavier build.

Apple is shrinking the Dynamic Island further, thanks to Face ID components moving beneath the display. The screen itself switches to a more power-efficient LTPO+ panel, supplied by Samsung Display and LG Display.
Under the hood sits the A20 Pro, built on TSMC's 2nm process with Wafer-Level Multi-Chip Module tech for better performance and efficiency. It is expected to speed things up even more and add extra life to the battery.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Camera
The 48-megapixel Fusion camera is expected to gain variable aperture control, finally giving users a say over light and depth. The Camera Control button, meanwhile, goes pressure-sensing only, simpler, cheaper, less fuss.
Expect blue, black (or dark gray), and a dark cherry colour. However, those who were expecting the orange coloured iPhone 18 Pro Max may be disaapointed as Apple has likely killed it already in favour of the cherry colour. Silver is missing according to some experts and others have raised doubts about the black colour too recently.
The Pro Max should also support full 5G satellite connectivity, and ship with iOS 27's revamped Siri, complete with onscreen awareness and expanded Apple Intelligence.
While iPhone 18 Pro Max launch date is September 9 2026, pre-orders are rumoured for September 12 and not September 11. So mark that in your calendar.
