Amazon Fire TV Stick HD has been priced at Rs 4999 on launch in India and the company has touted it as being the "slimmest and fastest" one it has rolled out yet. Amazon has redesigned the stick to ensure a seamless streaming experience for users. "Amazon has built the device to offer a streaming experience that's fast, smooth, and convenient for customers in India," says Sayantani Choudhuri, Head of Fire TV, Amazon India. What it does is provide access to movies and TV shows available on Prime Video, Netflix, JioHotstar, YouTube, Zee5, and more.
It comes with a faster and better organised interface that has dedicated categories so that users spend less time searching for movies, TV shows, free, and live content. The device is easy to use and simply needs to be plugged into any compatible TV with an HDMI port, converting a simple TV into a smart box with endless entertainment. And yes, it comes with a remote.
Amazon Fire TV Stick HD device has some deep benefits to offer users at this price point. The stick offers an over 30% speedier performance than the earlier version on average. It also supports better-quality video streaming, even with slower internet connections through its full HD streaming capabilities. Amazon has also taken away much of the bulk fom the device, making it as much as 30% slimmer than other Fire TV sticks.
Users will notice a big change in their TV streaming experience:
* Fast and responsive (apps that load quickly)
* Easy to find content
* Smooth and lag-free streaming.
* It is slim and fits neatly behind the TV
* Is portable and can be carried in a bag or pocket
* Does not need a wall adapter - can be powered through TV's USB port
* Top-quality streaming due to Wi-Fi 6 support
* Faster, better organised interface
For now, the device is available online on Amazon.in, Blinkit, Flipkart, Swiggy and Zepto with retail availability coming soon.
Amazon also has a Fire TV mobile app and users can browse and discover content from their smartphones and even manage their watchlists.
The Fire TV HD device has done a first too. Gaming enthusiasts can play Xbox cloud-enabled games easily through it, but they will need to pair a compatible Bluetooth controller and have a subscription for Xbox Game Pass.
