The Luxury EVs To Watch Out For In 2025
Jaguar’s reimagined look, a next-gen BMW sports activity vehicle and a Maserati supercar are the highlights on our list of luxury EVs to watch out for in 2025
Maserati MC20 Folgore
Maserati’s all-electric sports car will debut this year as a 2026 model. While a lot about the vehicle has been kept under wraps, early reports suggest the MC20 electric super car could have a tri-motor setup that could deliver more than 700bhp, enabling it to go 0-62mph in just two seconds. The MC20 will join the Grecale, GranCabrio and GranTurismo in the Italian carmaker’s all-electric range.
Expected price: Starting from ₹2.21 crore
MG Cyberster

The Cyberster made its debut recently at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 and is the world’s first opentop EV two-seater to go into production. With a combined horsepower of 375kW and a maximum combined torque of 725Nm, the Cyberster can go 0-100km/h in just 3.2 seconds. It has a max speed of 200km/h. If the way it converts—thanks to the soft top that can open in just 10 seconds—to the electric scissor doors, is any indication, it is a fine example of a modern-day, luxury EV.
Expected price: Starting from ₹60-70 lakh

Next-gen BMW iX3 - Vision Neue Klasse X

The 2026 iX3 will be the production version of BMW’s Vision Neue Klasse X concept. The electric sports activity vehicle will feature the sixth generation of BMW’s eDrive technology. Apart from new and now-round lithium-ion battery cells, the transition to an 800-volt system will improve charging speed by up to 30%—allowing vehicles to charge enough for a 300-kilometre range in just 10 minutes. According to the German carmaker, the sixth generation of BMW eDrive also delivers up to 30% more range.

The luxury three-row SUV includes a 102-kilowatt-hour battery pack and offers 615 horsepower and 650lb-ft (880Nm) of torque. Cadillac estimates the VISTIQ will offer a range of 300 miles. The car will also come with a host of safety and driver assistance features, including steering assist, frontal collision alert and night vision, thanks to an infrared sensor, to help the driver at night.
Expected price: Starting from ₹70 lakh
Jaguar Type 00

The ‘Miami Pink’ Jaguar concept—christened Jaguar Type 00—wowed many but also raised some questionable eyebrows when it was revealed in December 2024. The company said its first reimagined production car—based on the Type 00 design philosophy—will be an electric four door GT that will be revealed later this year. The new model, according to Jaguar, will use the dedicated Jaguar Electric Architecture and target a range of up to 770km on a single charge. The car will be capable of adding 321km of charge in as little as 15 minutes.
Expected price: Starting from ₹1.1 crore
