The 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Takes Refined Luxury To New Levels
The 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is an intricate blend of luxury, comfort and speed. You can expect it to be on Indian shores by early 2027
How does one redefine the epitome of luxury? It’s no easy feat. Yet every so often, Mercedes-Maybach raises the bar high enough to remind the world what true opulence feels like.
The 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class isn’t merely an update—it’s a declaration that luxury, in its purest form, is not about restraint, but about indulgence done right. Here, silence becomes a feature and technology doesn’t distract—it elevates. Every inch of the cabin exists to cocoon and indulge its occupants, while the experience behind the wheel impresses as well. In an era obsessed with electrification and minimalism, Maybach charts its own path—one defined by craftsmanship, grandeur and unapologetic excess. Because this car isn’t about getting from A to B. It’s about transforming the journey into something extraordinary.
Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Exteriors
The Maybach has always carried a regal, almost stately presence. Now, it wears its crown with even greater confidence. The Maybach lettering sits proudly atop the enlarged grille like a tiara, while illuminated elements like the three-pointed standing logo atop the nose or the Maybach emblem on the c-pills shimmer like carefully set diamonds. Rose gold accents in the headlamps add a touch of jewellery-like finesse and the new 21-inch multispoke forged wheels—with their floating centre star—complete the look like exquisitely crafted footwear.

For those who believe that special isn’t quite special enough, the Night Series introduces an even more exclusive palette. Dark chrome accents, striking greys, blacks and whites, along with elegant two-tone finishes—including a new metallic Nautic blue—bring a more dramatic personality. Inside, bespoke packages elevate the experience further, with mother-of-pearl finishes, intricate piping in gold and grey, or deep white and black pearl themes that feel more like haute couture than automotive design.

Step inside and the experience begins before you even settle in. With comfort doors that can be operated via the infotainment system, even entry becomes an occasion. But it’s the rear cabin where the Maybach truly defines itself.
This is, after all, a car designed to be experienced from the back seat. Reclining seats stretch out into near-flat beds, while silver-plated Robbe & Berking champagne flutes sit securely in bespoke gripped holders. A cooled compartment keeps the bubbly perfectly chilled and twin 13.1-inch displays enable seamless entertainment or video conferencing on the move.
Newly designed individual remotes—neatly housed within the central console—put control of blinds, climate, lighting and seat functions directly in the passenger’s hands. A wireless charging pad ensures your phone is always topped up, while features like ambient lighting and seat massage functions work seamlessly to pamper and rejuvenate you throughout the journey.

Refinement has been taken to another level. Once the doors close, the outside world fades into silence, replaced by a sanctuary of calm. The latest Airmatic suspension reads the road ahead and adapts in real time, ensuring occupants don’t just ride, they glide.
While the rear seats define the Maybach experience, the front cabin is no less impressive. The expansive Superscreen, powered by the latest generation MB.OS, features a Maybach-specific interface that feels both rich and intuitive. The newly designed central console houses the wireless charging pad. Open-pore wood, dual-tone finishes and delicate metallic accents create an ambiance of understated sophistication. Even sustainability finds its place here, with a new leather-free interior option crafted from high-quality man-made materials.
Under the hood, global markets may see multiple options, but India will receive the S580—a formidable V8 delivering 537 hp and 750 Nm of torque. The integrated starter generator adds an extra layer of smoothness and efficiency, contributing an additional 17 hp and 205 Nm when needed.

The 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class doesn’t chase trends, it transcends them. In a world leaning toward simplicity, it dares to celebrate complexity, craftsmanship and comfort in their most luxurious forms. It reminds us that true luxury isn’t about less—it’s about more: more detail, more thought, more experience and a reminder that the journey can—and should—be just as remarkable as the destination. You can expect it to be on Indian shores by early 2027 at about ₹3.2 to 3.5 crore ex showroom. More from me when I drove it on Indian roads.
