The EQS marks Mercedes-Maybach's bold step into the electric era, and while it has sparked plenty of conversation, it feels perfectly in line with the brand’s evolution.

Known for its quiet elegance, the shift to an electric powertrain makes that effortless. But the spotlight shifts to bold design cues—bling and badging unapologetically take centre stage. Dozens of Maybach logos are placed all around the car, and in the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 Night Series, they even appear on the 21-inch alloys, displayed in a filigree pattern, as well as on the B-pillar—reminiscent of an LV bag. Yet, the car manages to avoid excess, maintaining a delicate balance between opulence and restraint.

This Night Series package introduces additional touches of luxury, including rose gold accents in the headlamps, where the Maybach logo is engraved. Other features include darkened chrome accents, known as ‘Dark Shadow Gloss,’ for the window surrounds, running board and D-pillar.

Inside, the chauffeur can close the doors by simply pressing the brake, ensuring passengers never need to worry about breaking a fingernail. The doors can also be opened and closed via the MBUX screen, housed within the end-to-end glass panel that features three screens. The central console, stretching from front to rear, now features a rich herringbone-patterned wood with chrome pinstripes, while the rest of the interior is drenched in black.

The true joy, however, lies in the refinement felt not only in the quiet cabin but also in the ride quality. The EQS 680 glides down the road like a flying carpet. The seats, complete with soft headrest pillows, provide some of the most comfortable seating you will find in any car.

For those who enjoy driving, the EQS 680 offers a thrilling experience. While the car is undeniably quick—offering strong acceleration in Sport mode, where you can feel the powerful thrust—it’s clear that most Maybach owners will primarily be passengers.

That's where Maybach mode comes in. This mode activates a scarf-like pointer on the instrument panel, signalling a shift to a more refined, linear acceleration that ensures rear-seat passengers experience smooth but rapid progress without ever feeling the speed. Maybach mode also delivers a pillowy soft ride, making the entire experience feel exceptionally luxurious.

The twin motors produce 658hp and a whopping 900nm of torque whisking you to 100 in just 4.4 seconds. The steering is finely calibrated and when combined with the rear axle steering, it makes this large car surprisingly agile, allowing for easy turns and parking while maintaining confidence and grip at higher speeds.

The EQS 680 can go up to 611km on a full charge, and even in real-world conditions, it’s likely to cover around 500km—plenty to put any worries about running out of battery to rest. Priced at ₹2.63 crore, it's about ₹40 lakh more than the standard version. What you’re paying for is unmatched luxury in a distinct package—an investment well worth it if standing out is your priority.

First-Class Comfort

Backseat Bliss

A key advantage of the Maybach EQS is its First-Class package rear seats, offering plush black quilting and ample legroom behind the front passenger.

Luxe in the Detail

The package includes ventilated, massaging seats, a Burmester 4D audio system, 11.6- inch entertainment screens and a fridge with silver champagne goblets.
