If we have learnt anything from the big watch launches and drops so far in 2026, it’s clear that watch collaborations can often be a hit or miss. Some click right away. Some often sit on the border of unnecessary and fizzle out. But there’s something about a classic Casio that never goes wrong.

Casio recently announced a new addition to its GA-2100 series -- a collaboration watch created to mark the 140th anniversary of Coca-Cola. Esquire India got a closer look at the timepiece that has collectors and enthusiasts talking. Here’s how it feels in-hand and on the wrist.

Right off the bat, the Coca-Cola branding is hard to miss as soon as you open the packaging, which is inspired by a vintage Coca-Cola vending machine. The packaging alone makes this a collectible item for many.

Built on the popular GA-2100, known for its octagonal shape, the design on the watch features a bezel and band in colours drawn from the iconic Coca-Cola contour bottle. First introduced in 1915, the bottle is known for its distinctive curved shape, recognisable even by touch. This familiar design cue gives the watch a subtle sense of nostalgia. The band colour is elegant in its own way, a subtle mix of transparency and attractiveness.

The watch sits nicely on your wrist, like a typical GA-2100. The GA-2100 is one of G-Shock's most popular watches, thanks to its slim profile, Carbon Core Guard construction and analog-digital layout. Since 2019, it has brought an element of toughness and creativity to the G-Shock collection.

This limited-edition model is aptly christened the GA-2100CC. It’s light and the Coca-Cola bottle colours give the timepiece is a distinct feel.

The watch design also incorporates bottle-inspired details in its key elements. The day indicator hand at the 9 o’clock position and the band loop each carry a fluted bottle motif. The rotating day indicator in particular is striking and catches your eye. The bright red hue is the perfect pointer to know which day it is. It’s also a cool Easter egg and matches nicely with the red hour markers.

The dial combines Coca-Cola-toned hues with printed graphics that evoke the bubbles in Coca-Cola’s fizz. The textured pattern resembles carbonation bubbles rising through a bottle of Coke and is a smart design addition. An engraving on the case back, inspired by a bottle cap, is yet another detail fans will enjoy discovering. You can’t miss the Coca-Cola branding either.
