Here is everything we, at Esquire India, are talking about.

MR ARMANI, ALWAYS

"I don't have a formula to pass on. I always did it my own way. Even today, I hold my independence close. It's what's most precious to me. Passion. Risk. Tenacity. Consistency. This is my professional history." — Giorgio Armani

The term maestro, as he's called by most, seldom finds more apt suitors. Giorgio Armani came, saw, conquered and significantly—‘liberated’ fashion (and notably menswear) from the rigid, stuffy shackles of hard edged tailoring. Debuting in ’75, his designs infused movement, ease and a sensual fluidity into clothing at a time when these terms were unwarranted, ushering in a sense of style that’s modern in cut and construction, yet remains sartorially timeless.

Creator of the one of the most venerable Italian empires, Giorgio Armani was a designer, nay a creator, in the purest sense. The garments he designed, the spaces he created, the ideas he engendered through various mediums of expression accompany a story that is being told along with that bit of Armani you hold. And that story is the story of a pursuit. The pursuit of capturing time through creation, and preserving it for posterity. It is the story etched in the finer details that are the hallmarks of everything he made. And that story is not screamed out. It’s whispered. And gently passed on. Like a timeless piece of Armani. Simple. And then some. In his own words—“The essence of style is a simple way of saying something complex".

HOT WHEELS

Mercedes-AMG
Mercedes-AMG

The concept AMG GT XX from Mercedes-AMG is as good a concept electric vehicle as you're ever likely to see. Designed as a precursor to an upcoming four-door series-production sports car, it can hit speeds of up to 360 km/h, delivering a peak output of 1000 kW—all while looking downright stunning.

"Sports cars have always been the icons of our brand; they are emotional and truly special to create.

Crafting these masterpieces is about creating something extraordinary. The Mercedes concept AMG GT XX

embodies the ‘hot’ part of our design philosophy of sensual purity." — Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer, Mercedes-Benz Group AG

AIR APPARENT

The thinnest iPhone ever was always going to grab our collective attention. But it is hard not to marvel at how Apple has managed to sculpt the rear plateau on the iPhone Air to fit the custom cameras, speaker and Apple silicon. This frees up more space for the battery. The company claims this, along with software optimisations, can keep the iPhone Air running all-day. The iPhone 17 series will surely find plenty of takes but either way, iPhone enthusiasts can now covet a new device that is pushing the boundaries of design.

BEST FOOT FORWARD

Dior
Dior

When the ultimate title in luxury lends the sensibility of haute couture to modern men’s style, the result is stirring. Case in point: Dior’s Winter 2025-26 collection. Creative Director Kim Jones crosspollinates historical sartorial references with contemporary design aesthetic in a way only he can. The Dior Palmarès shoes are exceptional creations, enhanced by weathered leather, and available in two variations—loafers and ankle boots—embellished with a refined satin bow. For those of us who like it trad, there are the classic interpretations, featuring clean, graphic lines.
