It isn't rare for Bollywood actors to purchase luxurious properties in exotic locales but every time it happens, it makes a lot of news. And may I add, rightfully so?
As he gets set for his first film release - Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins - post that major robbery incident at his Bandra, Mumbai home earlier this year, actor Saif Ali Khan is making the news for purchasing a new holiday home for his family. This property, at the St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl, in Doha, Qatar, has been described by the actor as a 'home away from home'.
Speaking at a press conference by the Alfadran Group, the company that has developed this property, Khan spoke about why he brought the property, and his reasons for choosing this specific one in Doha. "Think of a holiday home or a second home. There are a few things I think of. One is that it's not very far away and it's easily accessible. And the other thing is that it's very safe and it feels very good to be there".

The actor also shared a few details about this property, all of which led to him making the decision about purchasing it. "I had gone there to do some work, and I was shooting for something, and I stayed at the property, and I thought it was amazing, and there was something about the mixture of privacy and luxury that I really liked. The main thing really is that it’s peaceful and secluded if that’s the kind of thing you are looking for".
Naturally then, there's been tremendous curiosity regarding the St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl ever since the news came out regarding Khan's purchase. Going by it's official website, The Pearl has about 198 different apartments, all of which come with every possible modern amenity and service imaginable. One look at their Instagram account and you'll get an even better understanding of its luxurious vibe and décor too.

This isn't Khan's first major luxury property purchase anyway. He does own two apartments, along with his wife, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, in Bandra, Mumbai. His family also owns the Pataudi Palace in Haryana. But his property in The Pearl in indeed his first big bought in an international location.
