How To Pack Like A Pro For Any Trip
Save these for the next time you're travelling!
Everyone loves to travel, or so they claim on Instagram. But why doesn’t that ‘love’ every make itself obvious in the way people pack for their travels?
Bags stuffed to the gills, everything inside an absolute mess. If you were to open a stranger’s bag (with their permission, of course) at any airport or railway station, what you’ll find inside are way too many things, each of which has been added without any plan or purpose. Chaotic is the word. Even though it doesn’t need to be.
Whether you’re an avid traveller or someone forced to collect miles as an occupational hazard, do know that you don’t have to pack your bag the way you’ve been doing. Your luggage is supposed to reflect who you are as a traveller, and even if you’re a reluctant one, you don’t have to reflect that in the way you pack your bag, right?

Hacks To Pack Like A Pro
Have A Plan
Before you get down to it, make sure you have a roadmap for how you’re going to go about it. We make an itinerary for the trip, right? When packing for one, you’ve got to have a list as well. What to take, how many of it all and the options for each, everything needs to be listed in advance so you can tackle them all with ease, avoiding repetition and unnecessary additions. Last minute packing will only ensure you’ve overpacked without including all things necessary.

Colour-Scheme Clothing
It’s the easiest, most popular travel hack, ever! Follow a colour-scheme when packing, one that’s complementary. Then all you need to do is pack clothes that fit that scheme, and you’ve got your entire wardrobe down to the T, without having to think about what goes with what else. If there are a few special outfits, those can be added to the mix, of course.
Layer It Out
Weather is always unpredictable, particularly when you’re holidaying. Which is why it’s suggested to pack in some layers for those random gushes of wind and/or chill you might have to encounter on your trip. And if it gets too hot all of a sudden, all you’d have to do is remove a layer or two.

Travel-Sized Minis
The one thing you’re always running out of when packing is space. And that’s where having minis of everything you’ll need can come of use. You’d be surprised by the amount of space you can save by simply replacing the full-sized bottles and packs of your favourite toiletries and other such things with their travel-sized versions. Certainly enough to pack an extra set of clothing, if nothing else.
Everything Bulky Is Best Worn For The Journey
Another impressive hack that’s certainly approved by regular travellers!
Those beautiful but bulky clothes that won’t be able to do without during your trip? Instead of packing them in your luggage, wear them during your travels. You’ll save space, yes, but also end up with a wonderful ‘airport look’ that’ll definitely give you an Instagram post (or more!) as well.
Do It Methodically
Think of your luggage as a canvas – you're not just packing but making a kind of art. Place things around in a tidy manner, each item making sense where it’s been placed. Fold things neatly, place heavier things at the bottom. Avoid haphazardly stuffing things into the luggage – not only will it allow you a little more space but also ensure you’re maximising your trolley/bag’s full potential.

Every Important Should Be Treated Well
Be it your passport, important documents, bookings’ details or any other such document that needs to be carried along, if it’s important enough to be carried along, ensure you’ve packed it so. Anything that could spoil or ruin them, shouldn’t be anywhere near them, obviously. Plus, you want them in a handy-enough place for easier access as well.
