After a strong month in cinemas, Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar is heading to streaming. As per reports, the Parvathy Thiruvothu film arrives on Netflix on October 9, just two days from now, so anyone who missed it on the big screen can watch from home. Directed by Shahad Nilambur, the investigative thriller drew steady crowds and warm word of mouth after opening on September 11. Its digital debut now gives viewers across several languages a chance to see why people kept talking about it.
Netflix will carry the film in Malayalam, with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. The multilingual rollout should help the film reach viewers well beyond Kerala. The film opened in theatres on September 11.
Shahad Nilambur directed this investigative crime thriller. Parvathy plays Aleena Abraham, a woman who joins the police force after her husband, also an officer, dies. She soon lands in a murder case that turns personal, and as the investigation tightens, she and her fellow officers become suspects themselves.
Much of the tension comes from guilt, fear and the pressure of staying ahead of the inquiry, with the police-station setting adding to the claustrophobic mood.
Parvathy leads an ensemble that includes Vijayaraghavan, Mathew Thomas, Unnimaya Prasad, Sidharth Bharathan and Azees Nedumangad. PS Subramanian and Vijesh Thottingal wrote the story, and Arjun Selva produced it under 11 Icons Film Productions. Mujeeb Majeed composed the music. Filming took place in Kottayam, Changanassery and Kuttanad, and the film runs about 161 minutes.
The thriller held up well in theatres on word of mouth. Reports put its worldwide collection at over Rs 40 crore, making it one of the ten highest-earning Malayalam films of 2026 so far. Critics have mostly praised the storytelling and twists.
Fans of murder mysteries and police procedurals will find plenty here, especially with Parvathy in the lead. At 161 minutes it is a long sit, so pick an evening when you can watch without interruption.
