Our List Of The Best Erotic Horror Films Ever!

There’s something about horror and erotic that goes so well together in cinema. Not graphic scenes, per se (even though, why not!), but the suggestion of it. Erotica, if you may, but of the scary kind. Dark rooms, night in full bloom, silences that linger... everything sets the stage for seduction and scares in equal measures. That’s probably why filmmakers since time immemorial have combined the two, or made an honest attempt to do so. Some haven’t quite worked, sure, but many, many have. We’ve put together a list of our favourites – movies that combine erotica with horror, leaving you scared and satiated, because why not!

Sexiest Horror Films to Watch

Eyes Wide Shut

This classic erotic thriller is on everyone’s must-watch list. And for good reason. Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman starring in a Stanley Kubrick film about underground sex cults is hard to ignore, obviously, for its the stuff of everyone’s dreams, pun not intended!

The Handmaiden

When the plot of a movie centres around a man’s plan to seduce a woman, you can be rest assured it’s going to be packed with enough erotic oeuvres to get you going. There are also some horror thrills in the mix, should you be looking for those.

Jennifer’s Body

Two words: Megan Fox. Still need more? Well... she’s playing a man-eating lesbian (of sorts) - we’re sure you don’t need much more. Jennifer’s Body may have not got the love it deserved when it first release, but it’s come to become quite a cult movie over the years, and with good reason. 

Nekromantik

The movie’s protagonists bring home a corpse to enjoy sexually, and the wife ends up having a preference for the corpse over her husband. If that hasn’t convinced you to watch Nekromantik, we don’t know what else will!

Antichrist

This deeply disturbing horror film has, amongst many other plot points, sexual violence too. But does that stop Antichrist from having a fair amount of erotic plot points? No, it doesn’t.

Raaz

The only Bollywood movie on our list, and rightfully so. Though Raaz has become a franchise of sorts since, the first one still remains one of Hindi cinema’s scarier films, with enough erotic endeavours on the side.  

Titane

It’s body horror, of the best kind. The central protagonist in the movie has a titanium plate in her head and is out to kill, literally. Along the way, she has sex with everything metallic – a car included!

Crash

Speaking of cars, here’s a movie where car crash victims start getting turned on by car accidents and collisions. If it’s sounding bizarre, it definitely is. But it also makes for a great erotic horror flick you won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

X

For those who didn’t know, it’s the prequel to MaXXXine. In X, a group of youngsters head out to Texas to make an adult film, but obviously, nothing goes as planned.

Cat People

A woman discovers she’s actually a werecat and would turn into a panther if she mates with a human. As a result, she only has to mate with fellow werecats to survive, and that pursuit is what the rest of the film is about.

Mulholland Drive

This David Lynch classic might not appear to be an ideal addition to this list, but that’s only if you haven’t really watch the film. Because if you have, you’d know just how erotic the on-screen escapades get, right?
