The team will still need more from their other batters, who have struggled to convert starts and find boundaries consistently.

Deepti Sharma, joint-leading wicket-taker of the tournament with Sri Lanka skipper Chamari Athapaththu at 11 wickets apiece, has led India’s bowling attack and will spearhead the spin department featuring Shree Charani and Prema Rawat in the summit clash.

India's fielding remains a major concern heading into the final, and they will need a 100% effort in the field to win. They dropped four catches against Bangladesh in the semi-final, three against Pakistan, and two against Thailand in the tournament opener.

After the semi-final win over Bangladesh, Deepti Sharma downplayed concerns over the team's sloppy fielding. "As a team in fielding, we have been doing good (work in training). We are doing practice sessions taking, you know, a number of catches as well as fielding also," news agency PTI quoted Deepti as saying.

"I think that it will be a day here or a day there, it happens. But we are always up for the finals as a team in all three departments," she added.
