Here's All The Events Across The Country To Hit In May 2026

As if summer isn't killing us already, some of the biggest events of the year are lining up on May this year. Big, headline-grabbing shows like Kanye West touching down in Delhi sit alongside the smaller rooms where Kunal Kamra tests material that often spills beyond the stage. The result is a lineup that that has something for everybody, no matter who you are or where you're from.

Kunal Kamra performs new stand-up material in an intimate club setting with his signature take on current events and political themes.

Where: The Underground Comedy Club

National Gallery of Modern Art presents Lens and Legacy: Bollywood in Focus, an exhibition tracing the visual evolution of Indian cinema through rare archives, iconic portraits, and works by celebrated photojournalists including Pradeep Chandra, Shantanu Das, Sudharak Olwe, and Bandeep Singh. The showcase also features tribute walls dedicated to Dharmendra and Asha Bhosle, alongside archival material curated by film historian SMM Ausaja and Neha Kamat of Kamat Foto Flash.

Organised by HYBE Corporation for the first time in India, this multi-location pop-up features K-pop dance events, quizzes, DJ sets, including showcases and interactive booths. Music lineup includes artists like KAYAN and Outstation

Taking place at Phoenix Marketcity, this festival brings together live performances by Raghu Dixit, The Yellow Diary, and TDT across indie, folk, and mainstream sounds.

Held at Jio World Garden, this large-scale music festival features hip-hop and alternative acts including Badshah, Seedhe Maut, Arpit Bala, and Chaar Diwaari.

Biswa Kalyan Rath presents a stand-up tour across venues, building on his observational style, exploring everyday logic and human behaviour through a comic lens.

Inspired by Spain’s La Tomatina, this large-scale event recreates the tomato-throwing experience with open participation and festival-style engagement.

Directed by Rajat Kapoor and starring Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak, this adaptation reimagines Macbeth as a dark comedy exploring ambition and guilt through a contemporary theatrical lens.

Ahead of Beethoven’s 200th death anniversary, the National Centre for the Performing Arts presents the 30th edition of Artie’s Festival India with Mostly Beethoven, a chamber music series exploring the composer’s celebrated string quartets across special editions in 2026 and 2027. Curated by Gauthier Herrmann and Khushroo N. Suntook, the May concerts will feature works by Beethoven alongside Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet with rising clarinettist Joë Christophe.
